A 2026 Owletter® production, Kavadi is a 24-minute examination of the significance of faith, community and the value of holding a power greater than yourself.

Filmed in a remote part of Kodagu, Karnataka, it captures the celebrations of the annual festival in the 800-year-old Kavadi Bhagavathi Temple, and the lore behind it.

Directed by Sourabha Rao and Santosh Saligram, and filmed beautifully by Suveen Poojary and Rakesh Kote, the film aspires to portray the cultural richness of the Kodava land and its people.
